Metković has a long tradition of masked procession, with a large number of masked groups, with the curious audience. The carnival includes everyone from Metković to neighbors from surrounding areas. There are always interesting creations, with a message, and without it, or the message is not beeing understood. In any case, it is good that people preserve the spirit of the carneval.
The tradition of carnival is encouraged by Metkovic schools, whose teachers for years are masked with kids in the parade. The same goes for our kindergartens because in the parade there are always pre-school teachers with children.
