The town of Metković (15)
The town of Metković is the second largest town in Dubrovnik-Neretva county and is on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, some twenty kilometres from the Adriatic Sea. Together with its inclusive settlements of Vid, Prud, Dubravica and Glušce, it covers some 51 square kilometres. According to the census of 2001, there were 15384 inhabitants, of whom 96,42% were Croatian, 2,11% were Serbian, and 1,47% other nationalities. Population density is approximately 300 per square kilometre.
