Given the natural abundance of bird-life and fish, there is a lot of hunting and fishing. Some hunters in the Neretva valley have an unbelievable skilfulness, almost an animal ability to move inaudibly and invisibly through the thick vegetation and they possess a specialised sense to pick up and read the sounds and calls of the wilderness. This knowledge is passed down the generations from centuries of working the Neretva Valley and Delta.
