Mala i Velika riva
Uređenje luke i obale u Metkoviću započelo je tijekom austrijske vlasti, već krajem 19. stoljeća, i iz toga vremena danas potječe Mala i Velika riva. To su kamene obale s pristaništima za vezivanje manjih i većih brodova koje se nalaze na lijevoj obali rijeke Neretve protežući se od Gradskog parka i Lučkog mosta do Limana. Danas je na Maloj rivi izgrađena malena marina za brodove. Mala riva se veže i uz metkovske pokladne običaje kada se na njoj spaljuje lutka glavnog okrivljenika za sve loše što se dogodilo u protekloj godini, princa Marka Krnjevala. Na Velikoj rivi, u novije vrijeme, postavljen je i monumentalni brončani spomenik poginulim braniteljima u Domovinskom ratu te 105-milimetarska haubica. Godine 2014. na Velikoj rivi postavljena je city light vitrina u spomen na stotu obljetnicu dolaska Franje Ferdinanda i njegove supruge Sofije u Metković prilikom njihova puta za Sarajevo.
The Small and the Great Waterfront
The construction of the port and the bank in Metković started during the Austrian rule, as soon as the end of the 19th century; the Small and the Great waterfront date back to that time. These are stone watersides with docks for the berthing of smaller and larger boats situated on the left bank of the Neretva river, expanding from the Town Park and the Port Bridge to Liman. On the Small waterfront, today there is the small marina for boats. The Small waterfront is also connected with the Metković carnival customs when the effigy of the main culprit is set to fire blamed for all the bad that happened in the past year, the prince Marko Krnjeval. On the Great waterfront, there is recently also the monumental bronze sculpture raised in memory of the defenders of the Homeland War and a 105-mm mortar. In 2014, on the Great waterfront, the city light display case was put in memory of the hundredth anniversary of the arrival of Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie in Metković during their journey to Sarajevo.
