Stadion Iza Vage
Početak nogometa u Metkoviću može se pratiti od 1919. godine kada je osnovan nogometni klub Narona, da bi 1945. godine promijenio naziv u Neretva, a već sljedeće godine dobio zemljište na kojem se danas nalazi stadion. Njegovo je uređenje trajalo od 1955. do 1971. godine, a danas ga čini nogometno igralište dimenzija 105 x 68 metara, svlačionica i klupski prostori te istočna i zapadna betonska tribina koje mogu primiti oko 2000 gledatelja. Stadion je danas okružen kompleksom zgrada Vage, osnovnom školom te stambenim zgradama u Sportskoj ulici. Godine 2008. uz zapadne tribine sagrađeno je i osvijetljeno igralište s umjetnom travom. Zanimljivo je da se nogometni klub Neretva sredinom devedesetih godina 20. stoljeća natjecao u prvoj hrvatskoj nogometnoj ligi, a tijekom povijesti klub je dao brojne znamenite igrače poput Andrije Ankovića, Igora Štimca i Darija Srne. Stadion danas, osim muškog nogometnog kluba, koristi i ženski nogometni klub.
‘Iza Vage’ Stadium (Behind the Scale)
The beginnings of football in Metković can be traced back to 1919 when the football club Narona was founded; in 1945, it changed its name into Neretva, and already the following year it got the land where the stadium is today. Its construction lasted from 1955 to 1971; today it is comprised of the 105 x 68 meter football playground, a locker room, club premises and the Eastern and Western concrete stand able to receive approximately 2,000 spectators. Nowadays the stadium is surrounded by the ‘Vage’ building complex, the primary school and residential buildings in the Sports Street. In 2008, along with the Western stand, a playground with artificial grass was built and lit. It is interesting that the football club Neretva in the 1990s competed in the first Croatian football league, while during the history the club provided numerous well-known players such as Andrija Anković, Igor Štimac and Darijo Srna. Beside the male football club, the stadium is today used also by the female football club
